Are you on the fence about trying DPC? Here's a great story about a patient who switched from my traditional practice to our new, better model. She admitted she wasn't sure that paying for this model out of pocket was going to be much different than the usual care she got. However, after she had her first 1 hour visit with me, she admitted that she finally had the time to bring up some issues that she kept forgetting in the old system! She was able to leave the office with her actual needed medication in hand, without having to stop at the pharmacy. She was very enthusiastic about bringing other patients to our office so they can experience the great one-on-one care that they can get from their own family doctor for less than three dollars a day.
