My Insurance Won't Cover Weight Loss Shots

Now what? You can see if you can still get a coupon online with Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro. This may keep the cost affordable for a few months. However, what do you do if you still can't get the shots and you really want to lose weight?

Another strategy is to work with your employees and see if you can petition your HR and employer to cover all or part of the injections on their insurance plan. The long term savings will be much greater if more people can get their BMI down and have less chronic disease from obesity, like diabetes or hypertension.

Some online or in person weight loss clinics have advertised "generic" shots for much cheaper. But what are you actually getting? Are you seeing results with the shots long term? There may be a short term "placebo" effect where you thing something is happening.

I am able to supply you with a generic tirzapatide-BPC 157 combo injection that has the generic form of Mounjaro and the antiinflammatory BPC 157 compound. When you lose weight, the fat cells which store a lot of fat soluble chemicals, will release those as they shrink. The BPC will help your body reduce the inflammation from that reaction. This chemical comes from a compounding pharmacy which has strict manufacturing guidelines and is able to supply vials of the chemical at about 50% off the manufacturer pricing. They are not able to supply this in autoinjector form, as that is under patent still, so you will have to be comfortable giving yourself subcutaneous injections once a week.

I have about a dozen patients using this form, and it seems to be working as well as name brand Mounjaro. The medication is shipped directly to you from the compounding pharmacy. If this something you would like to try, sign up to be a DPC patient so we can evaluate you and go over the particular details. Call 419-872-3250 to sign up.
